How to: Backdate Rate Change

Important Notes

  • Hourly Rate changes are effective immediately.
  • It is highly recommended to change hourly rates only at the start of a new pay period.
  • Changing rates after shifts are Saved / Posted does not automatically change previous entries.

Update Employee's Rate

  1. Click the Human Resources icon in the navigation menu
  2. Click the Employees List tab
  3. Select an employee name in the Employee list
  4. Update the employee's rate
  5. Finish by clicking the Save Changes button in the ribbon

Backdate/Update All Existing Posted Shift

  1. Click the Scheduling icon in the navigation menu
  2. Click the Post tab
  3. Select each posted shift in posted date(s) that needs the new rate applied to
  4. Click on the red Posted status indicator beside the employee's name to change the shift
  5. Click the Save button in the shift block on the left hand side
  6. Finish by clicking the Post to Big Chip button in the ribbon
  7. Repeat step 2-5 for each day the employee was scheduled
